Since 1962, Herradura has been proud to offer this delicious aged tequila. Barrelling for two years in oak (twice as long as suggested by the category standards) gives it both a deep amber color and complex taste of cooked agave and dried fruit.

Ultimate Beverage Challenge 92 points (Mar 2011) The bouquet features wonderful aromas of caramel, cream, pastry dough and nutmeg with a background hint of honeyed peanuts. Entry is spicy and full-bodied; the midpalate displays a trace of vanillin that supports the more vibrant flavors of brine, salt, green vegetable and green pepper. Finishes clean, a touch smoky and delicately spiced. A classic añejo Tequila. Delicious.
— P.P. (2/1/2009) — 96-100 Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2011 Finalist. An ideal sipper. Sweet but greatly balanced with baked tropical fruits, creme caramel, vanilla, brown baking spices, and honeycomb. |
